WHY REBEL?
WITH: JAUME MORA
Editor, printer, and founder of NICE GUY PRESS, Jaume Mora turned his passion for risograph printing into a movement. When he found the perfect combination of bold colour, identity, and the art of standing out, his REBEL spirit was born.

D.F: Tell us: who are you and what do you do?
JAUME: My name is Jaume, I am an illustrator, designer, and currently an art director, editor, and printer at NICE GUY PRESS. It is a risograph studio located in Ruzafa, in the city of Valencia.

D.F: You are one of the few specialists in risograph printing. What is it, and what makes it so special?
JAUME: Risograph printing is a very magical system and, at the same time, a bit tortuous and rebellious. It is a method that is somewhat similar to pre-printing, allowing us to print fluorescent colours and a more curated palette of shades that come from external sources.

D.F: What made you delve into such a unique and specialised printing system?
JAUME: The act of printing itself—being able to touch the paper, see the material, manage files—the whole process, from preparation to final artwork. The moment you achieve good results, an overwhelming sense of happiness suddenly kicks in.

D.F: What does being a “REBEL” mean to you? How has it influenced your professional and artistic journey?
JAUME: I was a Rebel the moment I took a chance on something without knowing if it would work. Stepping away from drawing to offer a printing service for people who draw or design.
